COVID-19

With the growing global attention that COVID-19 (otherwise known as coronavirus) is gathering, Agile Velocity has taken an active stance to monitor its progression and the recommended prevention strategies. Given what we know about the current situation, we believe that holding our classes will not provide an increased risk for those in attendance. We will continue to hold all scheduled classes unless the situation changes, in which case we will communicate with registrants and transfer all attendees to a later class, free of charge.

For now, we are asking everyone to take measures to protect themselves and those around them. These measures include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Please do not attend trainings if you are sick, unwell, or have been in an at-risk area in the last 14 days. If you have had contact with someone who is currently showing symptoms in the last 14 days, please do not attend workshops. We want to ensure the safety of everyone, so please reach out to us about rescheduling a class in these cases.

  • Washing hands is the best defense against COVID-19 at this time. We encourage everyone to wash their hands with warm, soapy water for at least 20 seconds several times a day. Using hand disinfectants and avoiding handshakes are other ways to avoid spreading unwanted germs.

  • If you are showing symptoms, please follow the protocols laid out by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and WHO (World Health Organization) and consult with your doctor for further instructions.

  • At Agile Velocity, we are also taking measures to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. We have been cleaning and replacing training materials, disinfecting the surfaces in our offices regularly, and changing air filters in an attempt to limit the spread of bacteria.

We want to ensure the safety of everyone who comes to Agile Velocity, and to do that we all need to work together and follow best practices.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

Certifed Agile Leadership 1

Humans are not resources and the old ways of managing–command and control–are no longer effective. Data has shown old-school leadership merely result in bad morale, wasted effort, and high turnover. The days of being the hero and doing things alone won’t work anymore.

Modern teams need…

  • To have a clear mission they believe in
  • To be treated as whole people with lives outside of work
  • To feel like their work matters
  • To be challenged but supported
  • To have the opportunity to grow their skills, build new ones, and advance in their career

Alongside teams moving forward to a more agile and modern way of working, managers, directors, and the C-suite should improve their leadership skills in order to encourage speed, flexibility, and innovation. They need skills that can build a culture that supports organizational agility.

The Certified Agile Leader® I (CAL-1) executive training teaches leaders new skills to help them manage their day-to-day interactions with colleagues and team members and the tools to improve team collaboration.
