Leading SAFe® 4.5

The Leading SAFe® course is for leaders who want a systemic approach to prioritization and desire coordination across multiple teams. This course is the first step towards SAFe proficiency, a framework proven to build trust, break down silos, and improve agility within organizations.

This course is for enterprises ready to scale Agile across a larger organization using Lean-Agile principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®). Students will learn how to execute and release value through Agile Release Trains, how to create an Agile portfolio, and how to lead and nurture teams the Agile way. Students will receive their SAFe® Agilist (SA) certification at the completion of the 2-day class and upon passing the exam.

The Leading SAFe® course and Scaled Agile certification is for those involved in creating and leading the scaled Agile strategy. This includes leaders (managers, directors, and C-suite), Scrum team members, Program and Project managers, Portfolio managers and PMO’s, and architects at the enterprise, system, and solution level.

If you would like more information about SAFe® implementation, including private training options or working with a SAFe® coach, go here for more information.

SAFe® vs. LeSS vs. SoS – Which is best?

Choosing a scaling framework is not a popularity contest. Whether it’s starting with Scrum of Scrums (SoS) or lightweight Nexus, the more involved LeSS, or the more comprehensive and popular SAFe®, it is about what is best for your teams and organization. It is also important to note that organizations do not have to adopt the ENTIRE framework all at once. Adopting every single piece of a scaling framework without taking the time to really understand their purpose could lead to over-engineering and unnecessary complexity. Some items to think about when considering scaling Agile include:

  • What does “scaling Agile” really mean to your organization?
  • What do you hope to achieve with the scaling framework?
  • Does your organization require a rigid framework or a more flexible approach?
  • Is communication between teams a priority?
  • How disciplined are your teams from a quality perspective?
  • Do you need to address scalability across both business and IT?

Sorry no events to show 🙁

This is one of the best courses I have taken. The information on how to proceed towards certification was especially good.
